Connor Drinan Wins a Record Fifth WSOP Spring Poker Championship
Connor Drinan wins the WSOP Spring Championship of Online Poker for the fifth time in a row, which is a record. When Connor "blancodrinan" Drinan won his fifth PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) title in 2020, he made poker history. With this win, Drinan broke the record for most SCOOP titles won in a series, which Shaun Deeb had set with four wins in 2012.
Drinan says that he missed the first week of SCOOP this year because he was too busy getting ready to start recording. For his first win of the year, he beat out 378 other players and won the $830 pot-limit Omaha eight or better event, which paid $34,421. Just a few days later, he won a $5,200 six-buy-in Omaha maximum-limit event that had 150 participants. Visit online slot gambling site Superhoki89.
For his second win, Drinan made an extra $152,011. The next day, Drinan beat out 1,052 other players to win $28,359 in the $215 no-limit Omaha eight or better six-fold progressive knockout system.
Drinan won the $1,050 HORSE event, beating 128 other players and taking home $30,233. This was his fourth win in the series, which tied the record. Drinan had his biggest win ever on Tuesday, May 19, when he beat out 159 other players to win the $10,300 Omaha sim-max main event for $322,264 and a record fifth title in the series.
Drinan went on Twitter to brag about his success. He tagged Shaun Deeb, who used to hold the record. Deeb replied with comments about how strange it was that this year's big schedule had so many more events than the series where he set the record in 2012.
