Etika dan Lingkungan Bisnis: Relokasi Industri Dalam Isu Teknologi Ramah Lingkungan

Industrial transition and increased consumption of imported goods are closely linked to environmental concerns. For example, developed countries like America, Germany, Japan, France, Korea, etc. are transferring their industries. Meanwhile, the countries where industrialization took place were China, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Mexico, and others. Industrial displacement includes:
  1. The marketing environment is expanding.
  2. Pay the minimum wage and increase job opportunities
  3. Get fresh capital directly.
  4. Government revenue from taxes and per capita income from wage or salary increases
  5. Technology transfer or transfer from developed to developing countries.
  6. Creating competition that can kill the same industry in the country.
  7. Entering a new culture that may conflict with the home culture.
  8. Most of the profits of these foreign companies go abroad.
For example, Panasonic is investing $50 million this year to expand its electronics factory and increase its production capacity in Indonesia. This transfer was made because the Indonesian economy is not affected by the crisis, the political situation is stable and the domestic market is strong.

It emerged as an industry that produces products not from environmental protection, economic reform, illegal timber, or illegal logging, but from legally sourced raw materials. Increasing openness to environmentally friendly or environmentally friendly certified companies. The furniture industry is an industry that requires wood raw materials in every product. In many European countries, consumers are encouraged that every raw wood product that enters their market comes from a manufacturing process that prioritizes aspects of sustainability. It should be noted that there are requirements to obtain an environmental label certificate for all imported products.

On the one hand, the quality of products from Indonesia is still better, but it is true that Indonesia is indeed a destination for toys, computers and various low-end and low-quality electrical products. Imported clothing products include low-quality fabrics, non-environmental refrigerators, high radiation controls, and used printers. The boom in second-hand goods is huge and our people are still very proud of foreign products. Because of this, people are not interested in doing good business. So far Indonesia is full of used and non-standard electronic products. This also includes the agricultural industry sector, especially finished products from industries in other countries, such as shrimp chips, which are increasingly available on the retail market.
In 2009, there appears to be a downward trend and growth prospects for industries such as textiles, leather products, and shoemaking. Meanwhile, the opposite of this situation is the growth outlook in industrial goods, printed paper, chemical fertilizers, rubber products, base metals, iron and steel. The transport, machinery and equipment, food and beverage, and tobacco sub-sectors contributed the most to the growth.

While importing countries increasingly require environmental label provisions for imported products, the industry's regulatory drive is not based on environmental concerns. But more about market share, raw material supply, regulations and labor wage conditions. Meanwhile, industries that do not focus on environmental labels face a narrow market share.

In this case, Indonesia has extraordinary domestic market potential and still does not pay attention to the issue of environmental labeling, and the general public's attitude towards the product seems to be greatly affected by the non-environmentally friendly gaseous products. certain places. Including the transfer of industries whose technology is not yet environmentally friendly in Indonesia.

In general, an industry is a group of specific companies that share the same techniques and methods of making profits. For this reason, although the emergence of industry certainly has an impact on the environment and social environment, the economic impact is felt more. Some of these effects include reducing the level of interaction, increasing the safety of people in the industrial environment, and causing many negative effects on the environment such as air pollution, air pollution, etc.

The best course of action for this situation is for the government to make a series of efforts, namely the continuous development of independent technology, standardization, certification and oversight. On the other hand, if the ban on the import of certain commodities is based on health reasons, it must be based on clear reasons and clinical evidence.
